Hello and thank you for all your advice.

Hello, I joined a few weeks ago. My telescope arrived, at last, yesterday. A Nexstar 127.

When the skies cleared I managed to see Jupiter and 2 of it's bands as well as 4 of the moons.

WOW!

What a great introduction. I'm hooked.

Thanks for all the advice so far, I am sure I'll be asking for lots more.

Hi Peter welcome to the lounge,

Jupiter is a cracking introduction to your first light,

Saturn is also a great target that has that Wow factor.

Good Luck and Clear Sky's

Great to hear of your astro WOW moment!  Nothing quite like it except maybe witnessing someone else barely able to believe their eyes looking through a telescope for the first time.
