Celestron X-Cel LX Eyepieces

For what it's worth I have the Celestron 24-8mm zoom which I think is reasonably priced, under £300. I bought one last year and find it works really well for general use. I use it in all three of my scopes but it's particularly good for grab and go with my 90mm Mak. I don't have to worry about what eye pieces to take. I use a Celestron omni 32mm plossl ep for star hoping and then change to the zoom for everything else.

However I do use a 2.5mm Tele vue plossl for maximum magnification on my 80mm apo which provides superb sharp and crisp images of the moon and Jupiter but of course is not suitable for longer focal length scopes as the magnification is far too much.

Hope this helps.
