Largest Telescope on a EQ2 Mount?

Hi, What would be the largest telescope I could use on a Skywatcher EQ2 mount? I've tried a google search and not turned up a lot.

The practical maximum is something like a 130mm reflector or a 100mm refractor which is the sort of combos that skywatcher supply.

No problem. I was just wondering if I could upgrade the scope without upgrading the mount, oh well.

Manufacturers do tend to put the largest scope they can with there mounts maybe not at the absolute limit but close enough to make them a tiny bit wobbly. The reverse is also true a not so good mount can work realy well with a much lighter scope.

The EQ3-2 is a much more substantial mount and even that is limited to 7kg for visual use.

I have a Celestron 130EQ on what Celestron call a CG3 mount which in reality is more akin to an EQ2. The 130 is pretty much at the limit of what the mount will take. I ended up doing some modifications to make the whole plot a bit more stable.
