Hi folks,

First decent clear skies last night for a while, so took the chance to do some observing.

I saw this just below Cassiopeia, but just above the horizon about 9pm.

Is it Andromeda...???

Looking NW? Blob 2/3 of the way up the picture & dead central?

Yes, the "blob" in the centre of the image...

I've never swung my scope around in this direction before, so this is a first for me.

There are some great clusters in that area. The double cluster between Perseus and Cassopeia being the most spectacular.

But also three nice M clusters as well in Auriga (M36, 37 and 38). There are some fantastic imaging targets in that area as well.

Nice one on spotting Andromeda :)
