MikeD
Lo all. I decided to have a quick go at the trapezium in m42 while waiting for ngc3718 to rize out of the worst of my LP.LRGBL = 20 @ 60 sec's + 10 @ 20 sec's and 10 @ 2 sec's, through my 10" f4.8 newtRGB 6 @ 60 sec's + 6 @ 20 secs for each channel. Not at all the colour I was exspeting from the core but it's what I got (click to enlarge)I might have another go at processing this later . steppenwolf
Lovely separation of the Trapezium stars. Can't see a problem with the colour of the Trapezium - many images of this area have this hue but not always that lovely separation!

Beyond_Vision
The colour is fine Mike and lovely detail too. A lot of pics u see of this are too purple or too red for my liking. Unprocessed with my canon 400d its a crimson colour just like yours.RegardsKevin

barkis
It's a treat just to see the clean separation of the Trapezium bodies, splendid, that image can't have been easy to achieve. It really is pleasing to the eye. Ron.
