Hi there

Only just joined too!

Looks like a great community and forum - no doubt we'll be using it a lot over the coming months (and years!).

I've got 2 kids (7 & 5) and I'm looking forward to have them catching the bug too - God knows I would have loved to have done something like stargazing with my Dad!

Best luck and wishes

Steve

Hi and a warm welcome to SGL.

If you are using a Canon you need to download from your starter disc, EOS. This manages the photographic routines (which can be automated) and can give you live view via a laptop or PC.

You will also need a T-ring and T-adapter to attach your DSLR to the scope - take the lens off and then put the adapter straight onto the camera body.

Good luck and Happy Stargazing.
