Hello Everyone,

I am new to the hobby, starting out an age of 64 !!

I am located in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, UK.

Because of disabilities I will only be able to view from my Back Garden.

I do not have a telescope or tripod yet but am saving what I can out of my pension,

I have been reccomended the Skywatcher Explorer 130PDS.

I see it does not have a tripod included and think I will need an EQ type preferably with a motor drive also.

At the moment I am using my SLR and DSLR cameras with long lenses and have been quite succesful at capturing images,

I will no doubt be firing all sorts of stupid questions so please be patient with me.

Wishing you all Best Wishes,

NigelB.

Heya from Norway Nigel.

I spent close to six hours in my own backyard tonight using the skywatcher heritage 130p.

Got excellent views of the moon, jupiter, mars and finally saturn.

I drank lots of coffee ( thats probably the reason im wide awake at 4am cet.)

Rune.
