As AstroJon, I have been watching it since early. It was great to see it develop. Tomorrow night we get the Straight Wall as a prelude to the Jupiter double transit.

Second time for me but it looks like I should've got out a little earlier instead of watching Crufts on the box.

Some high cloud tonight but decent seeing conditions and warm out   managed to spot the x and v while the phase illumination was good and get some afocal images despite a blustery wind.

Spent about 2hours 20mins looking at the Moon because of the Lunar X, barely looked at anything else when I realised this I did give Jupiter a quick visit it. I managed to persuade the rest of my family to briefly stop watching The Voice (Like a lot of things shown on TV on a Saturday evening it seems to be a show about an audience that can't stop their high-pitched screaming...oh & there’s some sing or something.) & at it briefly have a look at the Moon after I pointing out I'd never seen it before My Sister & Dad could reach the eyepiece ok but my Mum had to stand on an argos catalogue. I must say it was some of the best Lunar observations I've done.

I'm not really an Astrophotographer but I took some photos through my eyepieces:

Sorry about the overly large photos I thought they come out as small thumbnails for those who may have wanted to view them

Perhaps a mod could edit my post for me to have the photos like this:

Well done to those who caught it.  I may have been a bit late myself.  We shall see when I get to processing the images.

Never seen it before. Just checked some pics I took through the lens last night - ...and there it is!
