Sun in H-a with arrowhead proms - March 5th, 2014

The Sun was taking a break from the impressive proms yesterday when I had a peek with my SolarMax 60 H-a scope. But there were some rather marvellous filaments on show.   I really liked the two sort of arrowhead-shaped filaments facing each other, but most of the others looked fab as well.

The best thing about the arrowheads is that I think they look the same through the diagonal and correct way around EDIT: the heading should say arrowhead filaments! Oops!

According to the MetOffice, it's a few days of cloud our way now, followed by some more cloud, with an extra helping of cloud on top!

Settled weather here, that's because the jetstream has moved somewhere it doesn't normally go in spring, probably because I am going there

Arrowheads eh, makes a change from Dolly.  I don't know how you spot them Luke, but it is a cracking image.
