A few Sun H-a shots with 2x Barlow

These are a few experimental shots from yesterday, taken using my non-motorised mount and using a 2x Barlow. I normally use 1.6x max on my non-motorised mount, but there were some nice details on the Sun, so I tried to get in a bit closer! I captured 1100 frames for each image (instead of 1700 at 1.6x), and stacked between 100 to 300.

Thanks, all, most kind! I had a lot of fun processing the shots :) Here are a few more from the session. I think the 2x Barlow is working out okay, so I'm really happy I can get in a little bit closer when my trusty HEQ5 mount is not around to help out.

Edit: I forgot to mention, that I think the second shot is the "wrong way" around. I forget to flip it before I processed it, and then I didn't like how it looked when I flipped it.:grin:

Thanks, Michael, I loved your observing report, it tallied with what I saw on screen and helped me to imagine having seen it through the eyepiece

Lovely shots. That last image really shows off the massive proms on the south-western limb I spotted yesterday.
