Absolutely beautiful. I was setting up my kit last night and saw the start of it and grabbed my DSLR.  I havn't downloaded them yet, but the Aurora was straight out over the North Sea - it was a lovely surprise and a bonus to the nights work.

Thanks for your comments I was lucky to get them I checked outside at 2100hrs . It was cloudy and light rain .So gave up . I was watching tele .At2200hrs the phone rang It was the woman whow runs the local shop telling me about the northen lights . she knows i am interestd in astronomy. Lucky me
