Venus and moon conjunction 26.02.2014

a beautifully eerie scene as this pair crept out of the haze at 4:45 this morning, accompanied by an owl hooting away in  the distance. images are no substitue for being there but i thought i would share it anyway.

Well done for catching the occasion - was out walking my dogs whem I saw it this morning and cursed the fact that I didn't have my cameras with me

I saw it this morning at 06.00 through the window and then outside, then lost it in the clouds. It was closer than your shot or appeared to be for me as I guess where I am changes things a bit, they seemed to be almost one.

It was a very pleasant surprise to see this pair rising, I'm glad it was clear and I decided to get up at 03:30 for an astro fix

i am a complete muppet when it comes to flickr, photobucket ect.... i wasnt even sure i had posted it correct, never mind "taged it" as they request?
