I live centre of Mansfield near the red and would be interested in meeting others perhaps on a gazing night near Mansfield..

Hi Andy. Have you checked out East Midlands Stargazers? They use a very civilised dark site near Belper. A very friendly and helpful bunch.

I have only visited once, as it is about a 70 mile round trip and my sky isn't too bad.

But if I lived in the middle of one of Notts County Councils finest examples of light pollution, I would be off to Belper regularly.

Hi Andy, I'm also in Mansfield. I'd like to meet up sometime, although currently I'm without a scope, as gravity and concrete reminded me they always win a battle against an OTA.
