jupiter 1st and 2nd light with asi120mm

1st and 2nd light with the ASI120MM/C9.25. pretty pleased with the 2nd image.

this was taken with higher gain/gamma settings,resulting in a higher histogram level (60%-70%). the image when being captured does look to bright, but it does seem to result in more detail being captured when stacked and processed.

i tried a x2 barlow, but i never seem to be able to achieve satisfactory focus at F20.

What was the stack number for these and which capture program did you use?

The 2nd image appears pinkish on my monitor (could be my eyes )

Both are nice. You could try stretching the first image a bit. Should bring out some more detail

Great first and second light images Pete, though perhaps the seeing was affecting you with the barlow/increased focal length.

thanks for all the replies, i have had another go on the 2nd image. the colour looks a little more natural and i think i have squezzed a little more detail out of it. the histogram looks pretty flat, but fairly wide.
