First Venus Observation

After getting up at 5, i waited till 6 for the chance to see it, then, BAM! SE was the direction, after admiring, I went to change lenses. By the time i got back the sly had lightened to much, however, I am happy to have observed it.

I had the same experience, venus was so bright this morning and a superb crescent.

It appeared to have a red reflection at one end, but it was so bright that clarity was difficult. I was going to fit a coloured filter, but as you say, it was getting light quickly, so time was limited.

A great experience for a newbie.

Now to wait for another clear sky in the morning.

It's wonderful watching the crescent change over the weeks. But boy is it bright.
