Rotator rings...

It's cloudy, I'm bored, and I've been thinking about chasing my eyepiece around last time was was observing.

I've seen the thread on the jubilee clips and plastic strips, but then I had another thought... I did work experience at a gasket company once... 200mm x5mm rubber gaskets, rolled up on to the tube.. £10 for 4... Either side of the main rings...

Has anybody else used these, will they take the strain, and has anybody got any other suggestions?

You don't want rubber, it produces too much friction against the tube ring.  It was me who posted the jubilee clip and box cable conduit for the rotation ring, I have been using the same one for 10 years now on three different scopes and it is still going.
