BBC promised a clear evening but the mk1 eyeball suggests otherwise at the moment. Scope is by the door but the dark site is cancelled. Very thick cloud here still waaaa waaaa

Amazingly it is rather clear here. Even more amazingly, unlike the last clear night the bins are not being blown over by the wind. I had the scope out briefly a little while ago and had a quick peek at the moon and Jupiter but it is still a little too windy. I might try again soon as I might not get another chance for a while...

Never typical weather then yeh Atleast you got something even though small. The chance would be a fine thing with me hopefully it will clear as scope nights predict tomorrow.

Tomorrow is looking like the best bet for me too now. We had about an hour (if that) of clear(ish)  skies tonight, not enough for me to risk it. Keeping everything crossed now for Monday night

Yes but a lot of showers, unfortunately no forecast is very accurate over a period of time like that, the main point being unsettled conditions.

Looking at the forecast and observations on the met office website can you reasonably get some idea for the next few hours.

Managed a couple of hours last night and it's white with frost and clear this morning. Might have to start setting the alarm for 5am. Whenever I hit the road at silly I clock it seems to be clear outside.

Woke up this morning absolutely hammering down still is in work now. But on the good side it's still saying my 3hr clear skies window tonight fingers crossed.

Skies actually cleared last night around midnight. Still a little breezy but I managed some observing of the moon, front door wide open in my porch with the tripod set at its lowest point.

Its actually stopped raining for the first time in weeks. On downside, its been replaced by snow. No clear skies, only ski's.

This is the chart for tonight from the excellent Polish meteo.pl site (the best detailed forecast I know of that covers Sweden). The 8/8 cloud coverage looks just the way most charts have done lately.

Last night there was NO wind and the skies were clear. Transparency wasn't the best but hey,it was CLEAR :-) but and there was a but............I WAS WORKING ......ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Sorry but it did make me laugh, I'm sure there will be many times you have the clear skies when the rest of us are unable to get to them. Just a frustrating time, especially for a newbie like me.
