Cheap Alternative Bobs Knobs

just gone to buy some Bobs knobs from RVO and begrudge paying a total cost of £25 for 3 screws. has any one found anything else to use? the small allen keys are a royal pain in the butt!

these will do the secondary. I tried in vein to sort some primary knobs, some have managed it ,but in the end I bit the bullet and bought from bob himself.

Or buy them direct from Bob in the States? You'll have them in about 4-5 days.

I use standard machine screws of the right size, then use two part epoxy to glue on a nut to the head. This works well for my secondary.

I think I used a M4 machine screw with a RC pinion. I used araldite to secure the pinion in place.

generally if I recall , the secondary can be sourced without to much difficulty.  the primary though with two sizes needed under different lengths is a touch tougher to find.

 the home made options above are an option.

I changed to knobs on my primary from the nylon nuts that were there originally (had to collimate with a spanner). Got the knobs off eBay, very cheap and fitted the M6 threads very well and make adjusting the mirror very quick and easy.
