Opticstar ED80S or Skywatcher 80ED

Hi there,

Im looking at getting one of these but not sure what the differences are?

It will be used for imaging with my 1100d.

Am i right in thinking that the SW will need the Focal reduce/flattener? This will push it to f6.37 which will roughly match the opticstar so it is not needed for that one.

Could someone advise me on the pro's and cons of each one?

The OpticStar build quality looks impressive. Almost like a William Optics style of clone.

Just a quick Google search seems to indicate it to be a good quality Scope. Interesting.

Shame they only seem to have 80mm Versions.

I see, so is the SW80ED pro with the ff/fr the equivalent of the Equinox 80 APO and the opticstar one?
