Supernova in M82. With planetary camera!

Hello,

Was excited to test out the ASI120MM on something a little more challenging.

Unfortunately, I connected the mount to eqmod with the eqdir. It happily slewed to a first star then lost connection with the mount. This happened every time!

So I was down to the synscan. It was way off M82. But I slewed around a bit and saw a blob (M81) on the camera and found M82 from there.

This is I think 70 x 15 second unguided subs. (DSS refused to stack a lot of subs...not sure why)  2 x Binning. Drizzled in DSS. No darks or flats or bias. Firecapture took the darks and sorted it.

Very impressed with what this little camera is capable of  !!

Thanks for all the comments guys  !
I really was quite pleased with how easily the camera picked it up. I think the Binning was a mistake, its software binning not hardware.

Next clear night I'm going to do some more deep sky with the camera and maybe even get RGB as well. Eqmod seems to be working fine now as well.
