Jupiter tonight

Recommended Posts

Got my 10" Dob out tonight as looked at Jupiter almost overhead. Was amazed how bright and dazzling it was with all my lenses.  Lovely views of the belts and moons.

Jupiter was lovely tonight, definitely worth a quick hour session at the end of a long day :).

Hiya ken,

Sure is an amazing sight when the seeing is good, I also think it is enhanced when all the Jovian moons are in a lovely straight line

Absolutely clear with brilliant seeing. Got up to x266, but very clear from x150,

Nick.

Jupiter was brilliant in Oxfordshire last night.

Dragged the Dob out of the shed for a quick viewing session.

I don't remember seeing the belts quite so clear and stable as last night .

Wonderful atmospheric stability and clarity.

This is making me so unbelievably jealous - we haven't had a clear night for weeks!

Don't worry about it, I'm sure you'll get some clear skies soon :).
