Slight star trails at 15mm on 15 secs.

Hi guys, hope you all had a nice chrimbo!!

Just been out in the garden taking some snaps of the stars with my new lens, canon 15-85mm

I had the FL at 15mm and the shutter on 15 seconds and I can still see slight trails (zero wind) I thought I could double the shutter speed at that mm???

Also if anyone is using this lens could you tell me what the infinity setting is please? So far I've found 7m to be about the best after taking about 30 pics and adjusting each time.

Cheers and a Happy New Year!

You will always get star trails no matter what the duration. The key is at what time frame do they become a problem. Looking at your image, there is a tiny bit of trailing, but it is mostly negligible.
