Jupiter through an Orion Starshoot

On Saturday night I managed to "image" Jupiter with my orion starshoot.

I've attached the original image after using Registax (albeit a fumble around the app as I'm still trying to get to grips with it) and then a quick polish with Photoshop.

Not the greatest of images, but I was chuffed that for once I decided to ensure whilst setting-up that the tripod was level and when i did my star alignment with the goto I went from 32mm lens to 12mm illuminated and got the alignment stars centered perfectly, so tracking was pretty good, so a pat on my back for the patience in setting up properly, that was well worth it for when I observed other objects.

Does anyone else use a starshoot and can they give me any tips on getting better images, would using a filter help?

Any tips and tricks much appreciated

Mark
