syn scan manual slew speed

Hey all.

Finally got out with my new scope last night but not till late so was rushing. Managed to get some good views but when i polar aligned in 2 star alignement, i had trouble centering the first star.

When it found the star and asked me to centre it, the mount didnt move when i used the direction buttons.

Is there a way to speed it up or am i doing something wrong?

You need to up the slew speed, press "2" the "9" the numbers 1 - 9 go from very slow to fast, when you do a 2 star align undo the clutches on the first star move the scope so its lined up, then let the mount slew to the 2nd star...job done....

Ah ok that makes sense. I was trying to find that in the setup menu to no avail. I guess looking in the instructions may have revealed that but I'm a bloke so haven't even looked at them yet. 

Can't wait for the next clear sky to get out and have another go!
