My first look at Venus.

Using my cheap but not bad quality zennox 20-60 x 60 spotter was able to observe Venus as a half moon type crescent ( even at 20x) there was some colour distortion but lovely to see her as a crescent. ( just a bright star thru the binos)

Saw it myself for the first time a couple of weeks ago. Low on the horizon like a distant half moon. Fantastic.

Well done, this is worth the effort for sure. I observed Venus and Mercury in the summer but there was zero detail or phases. However having a look this month has been a wow factor and Venus was a 40% crescent. Nice and crisp even near the horizon.

been watching it as well. love the way the phases change, the crecent gets thinner, but the diameter larger!
