This afternoons First Qtr Moon

Hi,

Clear sky around 3.30pm today and the moon was nicely on show so thought I would give it a go, been a while since I have imaged the moon.

Still had a battle with cloud and had to bide my time until the thick stuff cleared and these were shot though high cloud, pretty pleased with the result though and interesting imaging in daylight! 

Both images taken with the TS65Q on CG-5 and QHY5L-II, 1000 frame avi's PIPP to 500.

First image best 125 frames, stacked in AS!2, wavelets in RS6 and tweaked in PS

The 2nd is 250 frames stacked in AS!2, wavelets in RS5 and tweaked in PS - less aggressive wavelets

50/50 in which one I prefer - comments welcome

The first rendition seems sharper to me. If I had to vote that would be my choice.

Not that I can find fault with the second shot!

I prefer the first as the area of lighter pulls more interest out, both are fab.
