Afocal Double Cluster (NGC 869 & 864) 7th of Jan '08

I was feeling in a clustery kind of mood tonight and while it's not all in there, there's a fair bit of both clusters..

16x15 second exposures on the trusty powershot A610 with a Hyperion 21mm with Neodynium filter on my C8N. Stacked in DSS and basic level adjusting in PS.

A very attractive image - I just don't get on with clusters like this as I never seem to get any colour!

Thanks gentlemen . I must admit to being a lazy so and so, I can't even be bothered to crop the vignetting out of the pics!! Must. Try. Harder!

You see the coloured jewel like stars as portrayed here.

Never mind about the vignetting Tony, the bit in the middle is just great, plenty of colour and good focus.
