another newbie

Hi SGL

Thought I'd join in here, looks good....just getting back into astronomy after a long hiatus (used to be keen as a kid!), just waiting for a clear night to reacquaint myself with the sky...!

Have just got a new pair of binoculars (Helios 10x50) to get me started again, but will probably look to get hold of a scope some time soon too. So any recommendations welcome - < £500 ideally to begin with!!

I think your plan of using your binoculars to learn the night sky well is a good one.

When you finally get your telescope your work with your bins will stop you getting lost!
