I haven't imaged in a while, so I figured I may as well take advantage of the first clear night in weeks. Not much detail... but much better than my last attempt at Venus back in winter of 2012. She came out nice and smooth, and I love the phase.

Forgot to add. Vid taken at 160 fps best 4500 frames of 27407. 3x Barlow with IR filter @ 1.5x Drizzle. ( tried the 5x powermate, but mag was too high for conditions )

Venus can be tough, conditions are everything. And it looks turbulent here, You got the phase though. Good Effort.   What do you think of the camera so far ?  A violet filter can be used for clouds, but a IR block must be used with it.

I tried my Venus for the first time yesterday with my modest setup, and results are quite comparable. Turbulent air makes it hard, but I am pleased nevertheless.
