Just got a newsletter through from Hawkwell parish council with the title 'Good News'

THE LIGHTS STAY ON in Hawkwell....The parish has 150 street lights  (those with a 'P' number) that are parish maintained and will therefore be unaffected by the switch off.....

Just so gutted its untrue. really feel like writing and complaining (though not a lot of use to be honest if its just me and Royston from the Astro centre down  at the plant nursery). been outside and cant see any sort of numbers on the lamposts outside, though need to check over the back where they are building new housing.

there are a number of privately owned lights that will remain on all across the county, the 'P' number is referring to the maps not the actually street lights

I know what you mean, im still uncertain whether the lights on the A127 are going out cos that would completely kill it for me..  my garden over looks the 127

Write and complain. Ask them to explain their reasoning.
