M81 & Holmberg

Hi All.

M81 imaged from Newton Aycliffe over a few nights in late October.  QSI 583 ccd and Celestron 8 inch Edge HD at f7 (1400mm)

All 10 min subs.    2 hours L,  40 mins RGB and 3 x 10min Ha

Also captured the faint Satellite galaxy Holmberg IX   at 16.5 mag.

Have stretched heavily my luminance file to show it more.

Nice capture. Not only is Holmberg IX faint, it has low surface brightness so is hard to catch
