Elephant's Trunk

Hi,

It's been quite a while since my last image; a combination of other commitments and bad luck with the weather. But I finally managed a couple of hours last night before the clouds rolled in. I spent the time turning my new camera (just its 3rd outing) to the Elephant's trunk near IC1396.

Pleased with the detail I'm getting from the extra resolution of mono. I tried my best to control the star halos but don't think I've quite achieved this. I think the elongation on some of the stars is due to poor alignment - I'm a bit rusty!

I still only have my 2" Ha filter to play with. Eventually, I suspect, I'll get some more filters and a wheel...
