How do you carry your 10 or 12 inch solid tube Dob?

how about a more traditional approach: make a set of handles with wheels detachable from the base  ,same like folks use on they monster dobs? Then you can roll our the whole assembly and even the steps will not be an issue as you are using the whole set up as one big wheelbarrow. By doing this it means you can roll our whole set up without the hassle of removing the tube from the base and once in place, remove the handles so they dont get in your way whilst you are observing.Dob side plates are sufficiently wide to accommodate this set up.I have seen this done on many 16" dobs and i dont see any reason why you can not do that on the 10".

All you will need in this case is 4 screws with wing nuts,2 pcs of wood for handles and 2 wheels what you can get in any screwfix or even B&Q or shop the net.

I use my trusty climbers crimp on the tube rings and rest the tube on my shoulder. I take the base out separately. I am about to remedy this Russian roulette transport system though as I'm not getting any younger, and the consequences of dropping it could be catastrophic.
