Where on earth do you place the Telrad?

Before buying anything new, you could always try a little mod like this or this. It may be a little a drastic, it might be better to sell on the Telrad and buy a Rigel, but it does open up another possibility

Funny enough I was looking at these a couple of days ago and I even took the tools out in order to start working on it. But there was a sudden change of heart since I use this Telrad on my other scopes as well.

I would throw the finder away, its extra weight and once the Telrad is aligned i wouldn't use the finder again, my C11 is minus its finder...

I agree, despite having a lovely Altiar finder.  I never use it on the Dob. There is no need with a wide field EP and a properly aligned Telrad.  Telrad is just 100% brilliant on a Dob.  Ugly as sin but so useful.
