£12 Widefield

Having never done any wide field shots before i thought id have a quick go with a very cheap lens and minimal setup. The idea been it would be quick and easy with ok results.

Anyway this is what i got, ill post each attempt in a row with its particulars.

first are around M31, don't mind the tree on the right, 15 - 60 sec subs unguided dark's and flats basic processing in Ps

starfox its done better than i expected, its a sigma 70-210mm

I'm happy with it, the only problem was the red on the right hand side i think it was caused by trees which you can see on the first one, only other thing i could think it would be was some rouge light source.

I brought a FD 135 Prime for the relative expense of £16 so i will give that a go at some point

Nice. Very sharp! Are you using a lens designed for your camera or an old one with an adapter? Personally I like the trees in shot, it gives the image some perspective.
