Old Moon - 17/10/2013

For this image I wanted to try to create a look I loved from an old image that I think was from the folks at NASA, with a lot of contrast. I added a bit of false colour to my mono capture.

There was not much of a gap in the clouds, but I managed to nip in with a prime focus shot with my ED80. I then popped on the barlow to try and get a higher res mosaic, but the clouds came flying in!

I have started using my Baader 7nm H-a filter for moon shots with my refractors, it seems to give a steady image and I'm hoping to give it a go with white light solar imaging too soon.
