Orion eyepiece. Hot or Not??

I think the answer is "Not" in an F/5 scope. The DeepView eyepieces are a 3 element design similar to the Kellner or Modified Achromats that are often provided free with scopes. They might be OK at F/10 but would show quite a lot of outer field distortions at F/5.

Additionally the 42mm focal length is, in my opinion, too long for an F/5 scope as the exit pupil delivered (the size of the bundle of light that exits the eyepiece) will be larger than the eye can accommodate.

I notice you have a Skywatcher 28mm - I think the DeepViews are basically the same optical design under different branding.
