Blue Moon - 14/10/2013

This is, I think, my first shot of the moon that is not mono. Even when I used my colour DSLR, I always converted to mono as I was not sure what the "correct" colour should come out as to match the view at the eyepiece.

Bizarrely, now that I am using a mono webcam and the image is mono straight off, I've done the opposite to the DSLR and added some (false blue) colour.    I don't think it makes any structures more visible, I just wanted to try a look that gets a little bit away from the gray and playing around with solar images has made me a bit less concerned with what is real colour.

Thanks all   I think the blue is working for me, it's amazing how much room there is to play around with a single moon image, even without adding colour.
