Sheep - Sun in White Light 10/10/2013

It's probably just me, but I can see a shape of a sheep in this one :p

The seeing was a bit wobbly, so I couldn't get as much resolution as I'd have liked. I didn't even bother with the barlow.

I've gone a bit wild with a colour version as I'm a tad bored with the wet weather

Thanks, guys. Shaun, the focal length was 500mm, prime focus. I just nicely squeeze the full disc onto my webcam chip with it.

Re: the sheep, I can only assume my ancestors had a hand in naming some of the constellations... :embarrassed::grin:

Bit of a leap now I look at it again...

Lovely capture!

I 'think' I can see your sheep (well, a head, not a full sheep!) - above the two spots at the lower left?  Sunspot 1861?

Anyway the more I look at it , the more it looks like a cartoon mouse!
