Hi guys

So at Six Penny Handly i had first light with my new hyperstar, it hasn't been properly collomated and because we only had limited opertunity i decide to fire away and get what i could. The more eagle eyed of you will see the collomation error and there isn't massive amouts of data in any of these but quite frankly its was the darkest sky ive ever seen so i spent as much time away from the whole rig lying on my back saying "WOW" repeatadly whilst looking at the milky way & the shooting stars.

They have only been very loosly processed in Nebulosity, i haven't had time yet to do them properly in photoshop yet but considering the issues i am very encouraged by the potential of the hyperstar. Just waiting now for a good night to collomate it all properly & have another go.

Anyway

Fast!! Did you resolve the flats business? I'm curious about this with the Hyperstar.

Olly

Yeah really fast F2.3, the Bubble nebula has just 13x5min (65mins)

To be honest Olly this was my only chance to use it so i'm waiting for a clear night just to do a bit of callibration & collomation. I followed the QHY8L setup to find the GAIN & Offest now its plugged into the Hyperstar but thats about it so far, i struggled to find the right exposure times for the FLATS. The darks are easy because the camera is TEC cooled so i can take them whenever.
