if it helps with working out fuel costs,  my van clocked from Soupys house at high burton, to the keilder place at 159.7 miles,    keep in mind the last 40 odd miles are on country roads, so fuel consumption sky rockets, cost £80 fpor each round trip, so would be happy to car pool and share costs if possible

I'd love a camping trip up there when you're ready.

Nick I'd be happy to drive up there if you wanted to share a car. I have a 5 man tent we could use that has a nice space at the front for storage of gear. I can put the roof box on if we need more space.

Leigh you could get the whole society in your van scopes an all, and there would be plenty of people to push it out if it gets stuck again ;)

I have to take a trip up there tomorrow evening to drop off a bed and mattress and will be coming back again once done, but If anyone is free to come and give me a hand I can bring you and your scope up, there will be room as I am hiring a van, and will wait till darkness so you could get a few hours viewing done skies permitting. I will also let you sleep on the way home :)

Anyone free for a free ride up to Kielder? ;)

Seriously though if enough wanted to car share. with each other leaving no room for scopes and camping gear I could always transport all that up

Working :( won't be to make it untik it clouds over :( car sharing sounds cool - i need to buy a tent first though! I think it costs me about 50 quid to get upto kielder and back

its worth searching around and buying camping equipment at this time of year, its the end of the season, the non specialist shops are selling the stock off cheap, if not right now certainly will be doing so in next week or two

16 10 second shots from Saturday night stacked in DSS no darks or bias as I messed up and took them at wrong ISO and shutter speeds, stacked in DSS and played around a bit in CS2 but I have no idea what I am doing, if any one wants to have a gow at processing it for me will put the DSS output file on my dropbox
