Whilst perusing google maps looking for suitable spot's in Wales for a viewing session later in the year I spotted this in the sky? not sure what it is? maybe a hot air balloon? If you travel up and down the road it does move.

Did you find anywhere Damian, Plasy  Brenin Capel Curig is in Snowdonia I spent 5 week there Rock Climbing, it has beautiful skies and I think is now recognised as a Dark Sky site, I would imagine there are lots of camp sites around that would be ideal. I would go back to North Wales anyday

The guys I know go to elan valley so had a look around that area. I'll probably tie up with them to soak up the skies down that way

it looked nice, I would have gone out too, but I had Game of Thrones to watch :)

G.O.T best tv programme ever !!!!!! I love Cercia, what a mean, despicable, cruel, plotting, back stabbing  georgious godess she is lol

Anyway, just waiting delivery this week of the Orion 20mm reticle ep and the Celestron pro fiinder coupled with the precise alignment procedure on my goto should cure all my recent woes lol

either, both :)

I did get out last night and managed to revisit my first 2 ever DSOs, M13 & 57 - M13 is such a great object to view - and added M92 to the list as well.

Right we need to organise a mercury transit session. Just gauging interest before we book anything in at the cricket club.

Think I may be off as a holiday just need to check?  so I will make one

Will be finding out about the club later this evening but should be OK.

We'll also see who can make it and what times so we can do a rota so no one has to be there for the full 8 hours.
