Getting started: beginners advice

Hi Everyone,

I am so new to this fascinating hobby and know not much other than learning a lot by researching telescopes the last couple months. I am already fascinated by all of this,. After looking around I am planning to buy a Zhumell Z10 dobsonian scope. Seems like the best thing all around to get the best views for the money spent.  Anybody have one that has feedback?

My friend has an observatory in his back yard, that is what got me going.  So hello to everyone out their, this looks like a great site to learn from. I live in in the country in MInnesota so my viewing should be pretty good.

Cannot help with your choice of scope but everybody on here always tells newcomers go for a dob so you should be ok. A warm welcome to SGL.

Zhumell isn't a brand we have here so I don't know much about the quality but 10" is a perfect all rounder with a good balance between size and performance.
