My names John and i just wanted to say a quick hello and what a great forum (so much information).


 


I'm just starting out after having a bought a new scope and getting a hand me down camera from my dad but astronomy's something i've always been really interested in:).


Getting really interested in astrophotography side after taking a couple of 100 shots of the moon (still sorting through them lol):).


 


Anyway, nice one guys :laugh:

Welcome to SGL John. You are definitely in the right place for information about all things astro related!

If AP is your bag, especially if you think you may like to progress to deep space imaging can I suggest buying the book 'Making Every Photon Count' available in the book section of the FLO website. Something of an imagers bible, it is really very good..... and I'm not on commission!!! It's just a good book!!!

Welcome to SGL from another south wales member! im from up blackwood way!

have a join of the south wales group in the communities section of the forum we have various meets through out the year and we are currently on the groups 2nd starparty!
