Well I suppose the reality is £500 is the starting bid - and it could go for considerably more.

It could be a reasonably good buy if £500 was a "Buy it Now" price and you lived nearby but it's not likely to end there, knowing e.Bay.

It's big scope - if a tad old fashioned nowadays. Problem for most is the distance.

That is one BIG eq mounted scope, not exactly grab n go!!!!

Would image it would get interesting with eye piece location too, not an ota you can easily spin in the rings to alter the eps orientation. A although if you had it permanently set up in an obsy,it would be brilliant.

A DX300 + mount recently sold for £385, an SX300 + mount for £300 and SPX300 go for a lot more.

I’m sad, I’ve a wish list and keep an eye open for Orion Optic UK scopes.
