Pleiades Nebula

I love it when such everyday objects create this amount of interest... top marks SGL. I myself have never seen the nebulosity associated with the M45... it would be interesting to see some reports of successes/failures over the coming weeks.

It is also possible to mistake a slight dewing of the optics for this nebulosity.

Olly

I did just that, many moons ago. Got quite excited, then had a major 'DOH' moment when I realized!

I've still never seen it. My dark sky trips are usually summer affairs and it is never well placed or in a good area of dark sky for me. Perhaps the Peak Star Party will be kind this year.

 I can TOTALLY see myself doing the same thing Stu.

Good shout Olly, I'll check before my enthusiasm gets the better of me.
