Word of the Day

I've just invented it :)

The word is "minterval".

That is, the shortest time it takes from seeing that conditions are suitable to having the scope pointing at your target of choice.

Hence, a "sunny minterval" is when you see the Sun come out, rush out to the scope, get all set up with the laptop and focused on the latest AR. Then the clouds roll in again :(

At night obviously there are "clear mintervals" along similar lines.

Where my solar setup is concerned I can be out, setup and shooting in 5 minutes at a push. And yet the clouds still defeat me regularly!

Can't say I have thought about night obs but it can certainly go from a promising clear sky to total pants in a very short time.
