Documentaries

Hi Everyone, I've got at least 4 weeks before I get my scope (if you'd met my wife you'd understand) so I'm trying to get my teeth into some documentaries to stimulate my mind before I get started. I've seen " Journey to the Edge of the Universe" and it's mega. Has anyone else got any good suggestions for inspirational documentaries that I can view online as sky on demand has nothing that I can find! Thanks

Regards Ryan

I see your in the UK THE SKY AT NIGHT is on at 7:30pm on BBC 4 & should be on iplayer after if you miss it, the clips on there site are good as well main site: http://www.bbc.co.uk...rammes/b006mk7h clips: http://www.bbc.co.uk.../b006mk7h/clips You could continue to watch it monthly as well.

There quite a few SKY AT NIGHTs on youtube as well: https://www.youtube....ube.TQ_RdCcvPXM theres a few on this channel https://www.youtube....stronomy/videos as well as some other docs I watched one recently called TIME SHIFT STAR MEN it was about amateur astronomers.

COSMOS is very good:

I like this to help learn the constellations & DSO:

not a lot of docs focus on what the amateur can see in the nights they just tell you how it thing in the universes work & are.

This Galileo:https://www.youtube....h?v=Lr_bQs4oXgU was quite good IIRC

Dramatised Space Race:
