Hi all,
this image is my 1st light using my recently acquired iOptron Photron RC6 , never used an RC before, anyway after quite a bit of trial and error figuring out which adapters were required in order to achieve focus with the Canon 600d and then getting it balanced ( quite back end heavy with the extension tubes and camera on ) it was time to put myself to the test as well as the kit.
It ended up just being a short run . the set up consisted of :
EQ6 Pro pier mounted
iOptron RC6
Canon 600d (modified)
ASIAir Pro (for the wizardry stuff)
ASI 120mm Mini guide camera mounted to 9 x 50 finder scope
20 x 120 sec lights. or ( 40 minutes in old money )
Calibration files were also used ( not to good effect i might add )
Stacked in DSS with slight adjustments then transferred to Photo shop for final butchery,
Levels and curves adjusted and cropped slightly.
Overall i'm quite happy with the outcome for such a short amount of data,
Any feedback is welcome, or any tips to help me improve with this scope 🙂
so here it is

This is a lens that does not need an introduction, it's simply a fantastic budget lens! I've been using it for astrophotography with great results and satisfaction (see pictures). Just selling it becuase I'm upgrading to the 135mm version. Any questions please ask. Asking £160 which includes P&P to UK mainland.

I have recently acquired a Vixen Polarie with the intension of doing some wide field imaging,
I will be using my modified Canon 600D with it, Currently the only lens i have are a standard kit Canon 18-55mm and a old carl Zeiss Jenna 50mm , so i am looking at purchasing alternative lens to use,
The ones i am looking at for now are the following,
Canon EF 135mm f/2 L USM
Canon EF 200mm f/2.8 L II USM
Samyang 135mm f2 ED UMC
Samyang 14mm Ultra Wide-Angle f/2.8 IF ED UMC
Sigma 150mm f/2.8 APO EX DG HSM Macro
Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 AT-X Pro DX
So my question is, has anyone used any of these ( other than the Samyang 135mm f2 ) for wide field and if so how did you find them, would you recommend any of them?
from the ones listed (other than the Samyang 135mm f2 ) would you say there are better ones to look at or any other i should consider?
Regards
James

Hi everyone.
Looks like I will get some favourable weather in the coming days, but the moon is out and full. I finally have a car so I can get away from light polluted Weymouth, and tonight I took a drive and found a great spot to shoot (see image).
So to the point, I want to shoot Andromeda during these moonlit nights since the moon will be directly behind me. How much will it still affect my images?
I'm still a beginner, using a Nikon Z50 and the 50-250mm kit lens @250 (F6.3), but I do have a Star Adventurer now, so I'll go out and shoot if nothing for the practice (my polar alignments have been pretty good).
