It's OK - I've just noticed that I posted "I've noticed that some folks do slime their eyepieces down to reduce weight / bulk......" :grin:

Sounds like something off "Ghostbusters" :rolleyes2:

These eyepieces have been in the market for years and sold under many different labels (Celestron, Arturus, etc.)

They work fine in f/8 and longer, and the 17mm and longer work OK in somewhat shorter f.ratios.

Lateral astigmatism is the most prominent vice and a few focal lengths have EOFB (edge of field brightening), but they are pretty good

considering the price.  They're close to the Explore Scientific offerings but go a lot shorter in focal length.

A little eccentric in appearance, but nowhere near as bad as some.
